God In Our Waiting
"I thank my God every time I remember you." Philippians 1:3 (NIV)
Thanks to all of you for praying for James Bruce and his Thursday- Saturday trial respite visit to Rainbow Omega, a Christian based residential group home organization for adults with intellectual disabilities. According to the Rainbow Omega staff, he did very well. James Bruce's respite caregiver said he had "good manners" and they could tell he had had some "training," meaning he said prayers and wouldn't eat his food at Dairy Queen until he had a blessing:) We don't have a decision on his status with regard to one of the 4 upcoming available residential slots, but he should still be in consideration based on this weekend's reports. For Bruce and me, it was a much needed 2 day "staycation" and a chance to catch our breaths. Mama stabilized and has been "feisty" the last two days (Hospice's assessment, not mine!), but didn't have a good day today.
We continue to pray and wait for God's will and timing for both Mama and James Bruce.
We are so grateful for each one who prayed, texted, emailed, or called. I haven't been able to respond personally to all of you, but please know that we are humbled and encouraged by your prayers, care and concern for us. Please continue to remember us before God's throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16) God is in our waiting and so we wait.
